A holistic approach to your well-being through nutrition therapy, health coaching and sleep support

Home: Welcome

Why nutritional therapy is for you?

Nutritional therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. As Nutritional therapy practitioner and a health coach I use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns. This approach allows me to work with individuals to address nutritional balance and help support the body towards maintaining health. Nutritional therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine. It is relevant both for individuals looking to enhance their health and wellbeing and for those with chronic conditions wishing to work with or 'consult' a nutritional therapist in collaboration with other suitably qualified healthcare professionals.
In my approach I consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalized nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach. I often support people with poor gut health, sleep difficulties, weight management and chronic conditions.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)

Poor sleep affects one in five adults in the UK with many having a great difficulty getting to sleep, staying asleep or rising before we are fully rested. All of which results in impaired daytime functioning such as poor mood, changes in appetite and general wellbeing.

CBT-I is a structured intervention that works through tried and tested steps as part of all programmes at Stay Well Clinic. It is evidence based method that helps identify and replace thoughts and behaviours that cause and maintain sleep problems and help formulate long-term habits to promote healthy sound sleep. Some people need an extensive support and complete CBT-I protocol and some people see benefits and improvements with smaller changes. Hormone imbalances, chronic health conditions, diet and lifestyle can be  contributing factors to poor sleep. For this reason my approach is personalised and tailored to suit my client's individual needs.

Laura is an experienced nutritional therapist who looks at the client holistically and caters her advice to meet the client's needs. She helped me to increase my energy levels and to regulate my cycle with simple nutritional and lifestyle changes. She also recommended supplements that were spot on. With her advice, I am able to make sustainable choices for my long-term health. I am feeling much better now than I did before seeing her! I would highly recommend Laura's services.

I would highly recommend Laura's services for anyone suffering with erratic  sleep patterns or general insomnia. Laura took the time to get to know all about my sleeping issues and general health before talking me through a  bespoke action plan. Having Laura explain the rationale behind the plan has made it very meaningful and easy to implement. I felt the benefits immediately, which  feels great. I'm extremely thankful to have worked with Laura and  would like to do further work with her in the future. Laura has a very calm, pleasant and down to earth nature.
